Budget for your expenses

The forecast is looking bright for RTÉ Credit Union.

One of the greatest benefits of being a member of RTÉ Credit Union is the Budget Scheme.

Forget the hassle of paying bills we will look after it for you!

Day to day living involves the payment of all kinds of regular bills, such as mortgages, gas, electricity, car tax, car insurance, TV licence etc. By using our popular Budget Scheme members can release themselves from the burden of having to remember to pay these bills, and also save themselves the time and inconvenience involved in making each individual payment.

The standard charge for the year is €25. This covers the cost of mortality insurance. The maximum overdraft facility is €1,500 per Budget Scheme member.

How does the Budget Scheme work?

You decide which regular bills you want to include in the budget plan. Next you estimate how much each bill will be over the twelve-month period, and total all of them up. A 5% contingency is added to each Budget Account. Add the Service Charge and divide the total amount by 12 if paying monthly.

An application form can be downloaded below and copies are also available on request in the Credit Union office.

If you have any questions or would like further information, please call in to see us, phone us on 01 208 2628 or email info@rtecu.ie

Note: The Terms & Conditions of the Budget Account Scheme have been updated for the 2023/2024 Budget Year. All members must complete a new Budget Application form to continue to avail of the service.
