Loan Applications

RTÉ Credit Union will consider loan applications from members for many purposes. Each application is treated in the utmost confidence and will be considered on its own merits.

Applications for loans are made on a standard loan application form and our Staff will give any assistance required in completing this form. Loan applications will then be considered by the Loans Officer and Credit Committee.

Managing Repayments

Should a member experience difficulties in meeting repayment commitments, they should contact the Credit Union Office immediately to discuss the matter.

Loan Policy and Requirements

As you know, member loan support is vital to Credit Unions. We are a not-for-profit, member-owned organisation, aiming to provide the widest range of services for our members. Current practice, reinforced by the Irish League of Credit Unions (ILCU) and the Central Bank requests that when applying for a loan:

• The application form must be fully completed in all areas.
• Applications must include:
  • 3 Payslips (most recent)
  • 3 Bank statements (last 3 months)
  • 3 Credit Card statements (last 3 months)

Not applicable to Loan Within Shares

Life Protection on loans - which is free to members - is run under the guidance of the ILCU.
